The trade union Unite has announced that it intends to hold industrial action involving one of our five cabin crew fleets on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 January 2017

We are extremely disappointed that Unite has once again chosen to target our customers.

We are looking to ensure that all of our customers, with bookings on those two days, will travel to their destinations.

We will publish more details about our contingency plans on Friday 6 January 2017.

Please do not call our contact centres as at this stage they will not be able to provide any more details than are contained here.

British Airways remains focused on resolving this issue as quickly as possible.

All British Airways customers will be able to fly to their destinations on Tuesday 10 January and Wednesday 11 January despite proposed industrial action by Unite.
We can confirm that:

• all flights to and from London Gatwick will operate as normal
• all flights to and from London City will operate as normal
• the vast majority of flights to and from London Heathrow will operate as normal

London Heathrow schedule

As part of our contingency plan, we will be merging a very small number of flights to and from Heathrow. This will mean some customers will travel slightly earlier or later in the day than their original booking. Customers affected are being contacted with the options available for them.
If you are flying on either of those two days and want to check your travel plans please continue to use Manage My Booking.

Business as usual

There may be some inaccurate information about our schedule on some general aviation and airport websites. Please ignore these sites. The accurate information about your travel plans will be contained within your personal booking page in Manage My Booking.
We look forward to welcoming more than 200,000 customers onto our flights across the two days and ensuring they can all proceed with their holiday breaks, visits to friends and family or business meetings.
Customers can book flights as normal through all of our usual sales channels including ba.com.
We urge Unite to abandon its strike plans which are serving only to cause anxiety among our Mixed Fleet cabin crew colleagues who do a tremendous job for our customers.
We continue to be available for further dialogue with Unite.
