Hi
Can anyone tell me if i tell my local council that i am moving house wether it will cause an address link on my credit file, also does the same occur with moving utilities etc. Or is it just financial institutions that link you?
Cheers

Local council no, utilities yes. To combat the latter, move to EDF when you move house. They don't report you to the CRAs. Advising financial providers of a change of address will cause a link, and the CRAs retain and report the link indefinitely.0
