Black Horse PPI

I took out a HP car agreement back in 2003 and was told I needed to take out Gold PPI cover plan. Due to it being my first time applying for credit and had only been in full time employment for a year. Then in May 2004 I damaged my hand and was unable to work for 12 weeks. I contacted them about putting in a claim and had to get forms filled out by my doctors confirming this. Now they did payout, but only covered one month of my loan. Not the rest of the time I was off work. I was also lead to believe that it would cover what my monthly earning would of been at the time. Which it never did. My question is, would I still be able to put in a claim minus the one month they had paid off the loan.
Thanks
Thanks

PPI covers the loan repayments, it doesn't cover lost wages.
You made use of the policy and it sounds like it did what it was supposed to do when you claimed.
It's 14 years ago, who sold you the policy?0 -

You complain to whoever sold it you (the dealership most likely) unless the finance salesman worked for the finance provider (unlikely). Unfortunately as it was 2003 it pre-dates regulation so they can dismiss it if they are even still trading and then you'd have to chance it with the underwriter.
Yes if they refunded you for the policy it would be minus that month you were paid.
As above PPI covers ONLY your loan payment, not lost wagesSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

The policy was sold to me at the car dealership which has long gone under. I understand that PPI doesn't cover wages, but I was told that it did at the time. As there were three different of ppi cover bronze/silver/gold. Its probably a lost cause but thanks for your inputs. It's 14 years ago, who sold you the policy?0 -
It's a lost cause.
The dealership doesn't exist to complain to and it was pre regulation.
Slim chance of complaining to Black Horse and see what they sayNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
