PA1 form section 5 help needed

Hi
I am trying to fill in the PA1 probate application form and have come up against a problem in section 5
hope someone can help.
My widowed mother died recently and left no will, there are 3 children all over 18 me being the oldest.
The estate is very small house was rented and a small ( roughly £15,000) amount of money is in a bank account.
Section 5.3 seems irrelevant but needs to be filled,
I'm not sure how many whole blood relatives or how many of their children there are, would it be OK to put in unknown because unless I do a lot of family history research I'll never find out.
many thanks
TB

Depends on the bank. But I guess £15K wouldnt generally be considered small enough to be released without probate. £1.5K shouldnt be a problem.0 -
Just found out Santander has a threshold of £25,000 so I guess I don't need probate as this is the only asset.
Thanks for the help0 -

You have to go through the process with Santander to see if they will release fund.0

Spoke to Santander and they don't think there will be any problems with releasing the fund after their paperwork has been done.0
