Bought a car - developed a fault.

Hi
I bought a 2006 plate car from a local dealer. The car was advertised on Autotrader as a business, not a private seller.
I have had it for 2 weeks.
So, the radio keeps turning itself off for a second, then back on again. Initially, I wasn't concerned as I was going to upgrade the radio, however, as time past, I realised that, at the time the radio goes off, the seat heaters turn themselves off and sometimes the rear parking sensors activate, even if I'm driving forwards. Also, if I'm indicating when the radio goes off, the indicators stop flashing until it comes back on again.
It's obviously an electrical fault. I'm going to visit the dealer this morning, what are my rights?

Rather than post twice about how the poster was wrong, and just leave it at that. You could have posted some helpful information for the OP.
OP - if the dealer is registered as a business then you have a right to reject the goods and get a refund. How did you pay for the goods?0 -
If the car was good value and you don't want to reject it, you can allow the dealer one chance to carry out a repair and if this fails, you can still reject it afterwards.
It might be something as simple as a loose or dirty electrical connector somewhere and may be a very simple fix.0 -
Thanks for your help Chaps.
Let's hope they play ball - the site was closed when I visited today.
I paid by debit card by the way and I'm otherwise happy with the car, so I'll try for a repair first.0 -
Not a Saab by any chance?0

Depends on the price and condition and age of the car, all this is taken into account. How was the car described? Did you test drive it? Have any inspection done? I would expect the faults to be looked at for sure, see what they say. I would also try and get a friend to video the fault in case the have it for the day then hand it back as NFF.0

If the vehicle isn't as described or not fit for purpose then its price and condition have nothing to do with it as any fault known about at the time of sale should be disclosed to prospective purchasers.Depends on the price and condition and age of the car, all this is taken into account.
Part of the fault means that the indicators don't work correctly, something that could render the vehicle unfit for the road hence not fit for the purpose for which it was sold.0 -
Update: they seem to be playing ball. It is booked in with their mechanic next Wednesday, reckons he might need it for two days.0
