Thanks so much! I think I really have answered my own question haven't I! I know that moving now would be madness. We're in such a great property and area. I guess I crave moving back "home" when things get tough or we hear of another burglary. It's city life and it can be overwhelming sometimes. But then, it's so wonderful being near to everything and we have a great network.
I need to completely live in the "now" and do all that you recommend. Relax and live my life. I can always make small changes to ensure we're happy here for the next 10 years. Because once we move out, we can't move back to an expensive area like this again. Better to stick at it.
And also, crap time of year. Bound to be feeling emotional about these things. Thank you for being so utterly wonderful Alex and telling me what I needed to hear “The pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tomorrow.” ~Unknown0 -
Husband feels the same but way more pragmatic about these things. We're very lucky in that we talk about everything. He gets drawn back to our home town for the same reasons but overall he thinks we should stay put and just relax and live our lives. He says we have all the time in the world to move back there, and the longer we leave it, the better. Because if prices still keep going up, we might be lucky enough to buy something outright one day!!
