Why would I want to pour hydrochloric acid down my toilet?
Lime scale. Often i water is left, or unfrequently used lime scale devleops. The lime scale can become brown in colour too looking like no one flushed. Hydrochloric acid is a cheap and very effective scale remover and will bring a shine to your porcelain.
Also works in kettles, but you would not want to use a kettle afterwards due to heath and safety
Brickies dilute it 10:1 to clean face brick from mortar. if they have been messy.
Balance Ph in swimming pools.
Often better with metals, esp Ferrous, than suphuric.0
