supermarket delivery min orders and charges.

I am looking for the minimum order value for deliveries and the delivery charges for all the supermarkets.

I am considering doing online orders but struggling to find the above info without having to create accounts. I think my decision will need to be based on the supermarket that has the lowest min order.

also any opinions of which is the best would be useful.

Thanks for your help.

Many thanks

Tesco charges £4 for orders under £40, plus the delivery charge.

The delivery charges are very variable depending on time of day and how busy they are. I just logged into Sainsburys and there are 6 different delivery charges showing this week depending on time and day.

If you think you are going to switch to online groceries it might be worth looking to see if there are any offers on delivery passes at the moment. I think I got my Sainsburys one half price the first year. I have an Ocado delivery pass and think it is well worth the money because it gives you money off certain items and you get lots of free gifts.

thank you I am very temped by asda. I am not sure if I would make the £40 spend every time but it does say they will deliver for over £25 but I just have to pay for delivery for those orders.

I keep a notepad on my fridge and list any items I will be running out of in the near future. Then if my order doesn't reach £40 I can pick something from the list so I am not tempted to just buy any old thing. I have also switched to buying a lot of my toiletries with my shopping. They are the same price and you get similar offers plus it saves me lugging things home from the shops.

Mine seems to say min £25 home delivery from Asd* with slots from only £1. Might be cheaper to go PAYG perhaps?

at half price its only 2.50 per month and for that you can get the prime delivery slots (fri and weekends) which would fit in with me better. It does say that you can cancel so if I find its not working I will only lose what I have paid and not the whole years payment.

I thought the quality and price of the goods (food) would be a decoding factor
