RBS New Cashline Plus Debit Card And Other Changes
Comments
-
Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding new CashlinePlus Cards.
Is it a normal Debit Card? Can I use it to pay online? when i try I'm asked to provide an issue number which i cannot find on my card. Can anyone help me find it?
Thank you0 -
Once the card has been activated by using it in a cash machine the card is like a normal debit card. When I have used it in Tesco the chip and pin machine asks me to press 1 for a Maestro transaction or 2 for Solo, I usually press 1 as my online statements all state Maestro for debit card use.
As for issue number either leave it blank or put in 0 or even 1 if you have to but I find leaving it blank is usually okay.
You can use it wherever you see either Maestro OR Solo symbols.
Hope this helps.0 -

hiAt the moment it is only covering the new RBS Revolve Youth account but over the next few months all Current accounts with CashLine cards will have them replaced.

Can I ask the people who have the new RBS SOLO card and is ask if you want to use SOLO or Maestro what the first 4 digits of the long number across the middle of the card are?
Cheers

I recently got one of these debit cards and the first 4 digits are 6767, which is what all Solo cards have, as far as I know. However, having made a couple of purchases with the card I've noticed that on my online bank statement they've appeared as "Maestro". I don't know if that's because it would come up as Maestro even if it was a Solo payment, or if I can actually use my card as a Maestro (I know you can abroad, but in the UK I'm not sure, I think it might depend on the payment system the retailer uses, or something). Can I ask the people who have the new RBS SOLO card and is ask if you want to use SOLO or Maestro what the first 4 digits of the long number across the middle of the card are?
If anyone else has got one of these cards, do you know if they can be used to buy train tickets online (Virgin Trains, etc) or with other retailers that accept Maestro but not Solo (or don't mention Solo)?
Thanks a lot.0
