Question about putting an offer in on a house

We accepted an offer on our house before Christmas, the buyers survey has been done so we are just waiting for everything to go through now. We are in no rush to find somewhere to move to as we can stay with my MIL while looking. We have a few viewings this week and was just wondering what do I do if we want to put an offer in on one of them.
We had an offer in principal in February but obviously that has now run out and our mortgage advisor has moved away, we have no issues with finding a new one quickly when we need to but my question is is it acceptable to put an offer in then see the advisor to arrange if it's accepted? None of our circumstances have changed since our last offer in principle except my OH has a new job so has had a salary increase

Should be okay, but I'd do it quickly! I'd arrange an appointment asap as they're often booked up for a while - and I'd imagine Jan is a busy month.
tbh, I've never used one. Always done my own homework, and usually stayed with one who nearly always come out in the top 5 suited to me. They're consistently good, so I've been happy to stay which is quite unlike me.
Would advise using an independent all of market broker. Personally, I'd not touch one associated with the EA with a bargepole, but plenty do.

So spend the time finding a new independent broker. And whilst you're at it a decent solicitor.0 -

Solicitor is all set up as we are selling so that's in place for both, no one has been available over Christmas which is why we haven't bed able to arrange anything. I will be calling today to arrange an appointment asap but have a viewing today on a house that looks perfect, which is the reason I was asking. Everything was in place it's just typical that everything starts moving at this time of year when it's impossible to get anything done

Just don't use EA services. Your own broker and own solicitor.0 -
Loved the house I saw today, OH is going to come see it on Saturday so we can decide if we want to offer on it however the EA said they have 15 viewings this week on it so I'm hoping someone doesn't offer before that! Got the appt with the Mortgage Advisor booked in for first thing Saturday too so hopefully we should be sorted soon.0

That's why I was asking I wasn't sure if that would be the case, it just hasn't been possible to keep one up to date as I think they only last 3 months (don't they?) and the market has been slow in my area since the 2nd stamp duty coming in and then Brexit so the house went up for sale in Feb 16 and that would have been to many credit searches on our file. Really didn't think that we would even get any viewings over just before Christmas let alone an offer so we just weren't prepared! Would hate to miss out on something we love because it's not in place yet!0 -
Apparently they do it to check you're not a timewaster. For me, a DIP was something I was able to get hold of within 15 minutes so it wasn't really an issue.0

If you're desperate, show your solicitor proof of deposit/old DIP - and they will know how much you're selling your current house for - and have them vouch for you to the EA. Even if they still want a DIP, that will show you're serious. (And you never want the seller/EA to know you can afford more than you offer, which a DIP might do!)Mortgage - £[STRIKE]68,000 may 2014[/STRIKE] 45,680.0

We are seeing the mortgage advisor on Saturday morning so hopefully ours won't take long, our circumstances have only changed for the better since our last DIP so I'm keeping my fingers crossed0
