Changing direct debit date reduced APR

I renewed my car insurance over the weekend with Direct Line and was surprised that by changing the date of direct debit from 15th to 28th, the APR went down by 1.5%.

Has anyone else had experience of this? Is there a "best date" for direct debits?

No. I think what you have noticed is the same flat rate but borrowing over 11.5 months rather than 11 so the APR falls.
