I have a small kitchen, although open plan to dinning room. microwave, kettle and toaster are on the work top. slow cooker 1 lives on top of the fridge and the second one lives in a cupboard (both are small) the george forman, breadmaker and food processor live in the cupboard under the glass cabinate in the dinning room other things on the work top are knife block, salt and pepper, bread bin, mug tree and chopping boards. The freezer resides in the cupboard under the stairs and the cookery books are in the front room bookshelves. My inherited royal doulton vintage vegetable dishes and matching gravy boat and stand packed away in a storage crate inthe spare room when not in use.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. I also have a marble pestle and morter on my work top, that my grandmother brought for me as a Christmas present, she told me it was a house warming present for when I got my own house - she died suddenly of a heart attack a few months later. It has been in every kitchen I have had.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I like cats, but..
I once stayed with a friend for a month. She had 3 cats all of which surfed the kitchen work tops daily. I found it rather unsavoury and made sure my food was kept well clear and never used the surfaces to prepare food unless well wiped first. Fussy maybe, but I dread to think where their paws had been.'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

Though I do have a relatively large kitchen I do like the minimalist look:) apart from the obvious - kettle, microwave, utensils and toaster I also have a salt pig next to the hob and a kitchen aid on display as it is a thing of beauty :rotfl:
I am lucky to have a utility room so all the large items, slow cooker, deep fat fryer and bread maker all live in there

plus the assorted carp that I haven't currently put away on a given day.
Assorted carp? I usually keep my fish in the freezer :rotfl:
We've got microwave, utensils jar, kettle, scales, pestle & mortar, mug tree, teabag drip tray, knife block, condiments by the hob for cooking (oil, soy, vinegar, salt, pepper etc). I'd love some metal rails to hang pans etc on but it's a rented house so can't go screwing things into the walls! Someone else earlier said they had a pantry....that would be nice. I often watch Nigella Lawson's cooking shows and get serious kitchen envy!0
