Insurance for Bicycle Travelling to USA

I want to take my bicycle worth around £3500 to the USA, but it seems a lot of bicycle insurance covers you whilst flying for accidental damage but not theft. I'm looking for insurance just for one journey (though would take out annual if needed) that does cover the bicycle against theft, from the moment I leave it at the check-in desk with BA, to the moment I pick it up at LAX baggage handling.
Anyone got experience of insuring for this purpose? Thanks
