If I was you, I wouldn't paint it now. Let it dry for some time to ensure thete is no further leak and also if leak has been there for a while, the surface won't dry in a day or so leading to paint possibly not sticking properly. I am sure it looks unsightly but consider leaving it without paint for few weeks.0
