Advice on lump sum

Hi

I have £13k that I want to deposit somewhere. Just wondered if anyone knew what the best option would be? Is there a current account/ISA/savings account that has a good interest rate if only for a year that I can deposit the cash?

Thanks

You could start with the Top Savings Accounts link at the top of the page
  • One idea...

And/or depending on your appetite to risk and how "extra" this money is to your finances, you could consider some higher paying opportunities like peer to peer - which Martin himself uses. The returns way have exceeded a short term cash ISA for Martin by a sizeable margin, but are not so protected as he explained. Again follow the Savings' navigation bar link and look below Top Savings for a dedicated article on Peer to Peer.
I am just thinking out loud - nothing I say should be relied upon!
I do however reserve the right to be correct by accident.
  • thanks for the above help
