Yep. It doesn't cope well with these stupid ads, but they've been a relatively small part of the last 7 months. Who can tell if this will continue. Some off them run through, some stall and crash. They probably require a better specced phone, but to buy a better phone just because it'll run certain ads on SB would not be wise. The ads change and the apps change, the payback period would be too long. We don't know what tomorrow will be, let alone 6 months time.
Yeah maybe I've bought it at a wrong time. It's been cooking all day and managed 2sb from one round of Lifestyle! Is yours currently coping with the ads? I've tried Lifestyle, Sportly, Entertain now, all got same problem.
I wouldn't get another phone, if they carry on with the ads like this I might quit SB for good.
I'll give it a bit longer, see if apps improve, if not I'll cut my losses and sell phone.0 -

If your phone is new it probably wants to update the operating system etc. When I had only 6 apps it was just about okay for room, but now with 7 and even with the micro sd card it tells me there's not enough room and makes me delete a couple of apps before it will update. I can then reinstall the apps when it's done
Edit: what am I talking about 5sec clips are in movies, sbtv has the odd 18-20sec clip that I use!0 -
So yesterday I did all but the Tomboy square on Swago, as that one didn't work. Just looked at my board and it's been wiped and all my squares are unchecked.

Just waiting for the Marriot one to be fixed and then the noard can be ticked off.
Sportly running well on bonus rounds - if you have the time to delete the adds like with movie and indie

Just reading this. Is it confirmed that the Marriot one is problematic? There's always one isn't there? It was Tommy Boy last time around and I made the point then that maybe this is paid for by the problem one to delay credit. It's viewed as a problem of Swagbucks not the provider and is free additional publicity for them.0

However today I re-did all the squares, and the previously non-working square worked, so I submitted the board sharpish for 50 SB help to achieve my second daily goal.0 -
these stupid ads ... have been a relatively small part of the last 7 months.
Exactly, the ads will run better in a higher spec phone, but if a phone is being bought just for running the SB apps, you need to calculate the payback time according to how many SB you can currently get and be reasonably confident that SB will continue to operate the apps in the current way for long enough.
When I posted about this (see below), at the beginning of October, a daily return of 70 SB (50p) was easily achievable, with more SB possible from any bonus runs and extra overnight runs. So the payback time for a £70 phone would be under 5 months.
However now, just two and a half months later, the extra and lengthy ads make it difficult to achieve a return of 60 SB (43p) per day, so the payback time for a £70 phone would be five and a half months.
A higher spec phone can still be worthwhile if it makes your life easier and enables you to achieve more SB than your current low spec phone does.If you are thinking of buying an Android phone for running the SB apps and believe that SB will operate the apps in the current way for long enough, get a phone with at least 1 GB and preferably 2 or 3 GB memory for smoother performance and fewer memory issues, and with at least Android 6 and preferably Android 7 so that the phone will support the SB apps for longer into the future.
For example, the Cubot Hafury Mix has 2 GB memory and Android 7, and costs £70, for a payback time of 5 months, assuming the basic return of 50p per day from running the 7 apps once a day. The possible bonus runs and extra overnight runs, and any contributions to Swago, would help to reduce the payback time.0
