Swagbucking into 2017

Looks like it will take all day to run the apps as they've kindly inserted two 40 second ads before each video on a number of the apps.
Came on to say exactly the same thing. It's brutal. Everytime I look at the phone it is an advert.
I've only been on Swagbucks since July. Seems I arrived at the party too late as in the relatively short time I have been on (compared to 3 years for example), the changes to make earning SB's more difficult have been very noticible. Aiming to keep going until Christmas but doubt I will have a working phone after that!0 -

Its the adverts that pay for the Apps.
If you get adverts, you're more likely to get bonus rounds.0 -
I dont mind the adverts its the freezing thats doing my head in
I had problems before 8am. The Lifestyle one is running bonus rounds for me now, but the Movie one was sticking earlier. So Id run the ones that run smoothly and worry about whether to bother with others later. Who knows, one of the apps could run all day for you.0 -

I understand that but how were the apps paid for in the previous 3 years? My point being that if Swagbucks was newly launched, we'd accept this without questioning. It's not newly launched, it's been running for years but the introduction of ads etc seem accelerated in the last few weeks.
Bonus rounds are useful though.0 -
There hasn't been an introduction of adds, they've always been there, and there are periods when they are more intrusive than others. Odd that you're commenting on the last 3 years when you only joined in July...0

I've been running SBTV for most of the day and although it's slow, there are seemingly enless bonus rounds and I'm up to 64. Fortunately it's not freezing for me.0 -
The thing is, we are an asset. So they feed us swagbucks even when there's no ads. They don't want people giving up during lean periods.
Swagbucks has a lot of competition on mobiles apps from EngageMe, Perk etc. and they are all fighting for market share.
Perk boasts that they have 20 million users. Their quiz app pays out regardless of whether there's an advert or not.
Perk is loss making. I know this because its parent company is listed on London Stock Exchange. Investors stomach the loss making because they believe there's a brand new emerging market in Apps as nobody watches tv adverts anymore and longer term Perk will make a profit.
Perk pays much less than Swagbucks, by the way. I know this because I run Perk continually on 3 phones.
Anyway, Swagbucks has to compete with companies that are prepared to run their mobile apps at a loss.
My guess then, is that survey income is being used at Swagbucks to offset losses on videos and this means we are all noticing that there's less SB to be had for surveys. I think that's where the money for the apps is coming from when there's no adverts.0
