YBS Internet Saver 6.2%

according to Moneyfacts available from 23/9. Nothing on YBS site yet. Unclear if this is a 0.25% increase or a new product.

Just called them...it's a 0.25% increase on the existing product.

Asked about e-ISA and Regular Saver, and was told no changes to those products.

Bit surprising when the next BoE meeting might cut rates.
  • Probably a response to the B&B 6.4% a/c.
  • As part of my recent 'spread' into opening new online accounts, YBS Internet Saver was one, so i'll be watching this one.

Must say it was set up and fully operational very quickly.

principality e-saver increased this week to 6.20% gross.
  • I hope it drags up their e-saver rate as well. This has laggged behind the Internet Saver by 0.15% and I have kept both open both with the minimum £250.
    Both have cash cards
My current standings with Yorkshire Building Society are
    7.10% Regular Saver £6600+
    7.05% Monthly Saver £3400+
    6.05% Internet Saver £250
    5.80% e-saver £250

The Monthly Saver rate was lagging behind the Regular Saver by almost 0.50% until the recent rate rises and is now just 0.05% behind.

Didn't mention it earlier (post #2), but I was told the e-saver was also being increased. Selfishly though, because I don't have one, I didn't ask by how much. Sorry!
  • I think I'll transfer some money from my Halifax websaver via current a/c to the YBS internet Saver and boost the interest rate by 0.90% gross. :)
  • Well, sure enough the rate has been raised to 6.2
but when i login , it shows me the balance but still shows the old rate,
so maybe they haven't got around to fully updating their database yet

hopefully it'll get updated sometime tomorrow, otherwise i'll be on the phone.
