    Thanks folks . Please excuse my ignorance , but what is e s a / p I p .?
    I have no idea .:)
I forgot to mention , I have money from sale of my flat, but intend to buy a new one within the next few months. I would think the gv t will tell me , I have too much cash in my bank acct at the present time .

Worth knowing in the future , if I'm entitled to anything tho'.
I've had less than7 months unemployed since leaving school in '79 and think,I've paid enough stamp for pension etc.
    Thanks again :)

Forgot to mention: I've never bothered with flu jab. My choice etc.
However, I very rarely got ill until I had years of hell , stress and tension.
My body just had enough as I only moved into rented accommodation a month ago.
I think the flu will be the last bad one I'll ever have . The m g , is not as bad, so this year may not be too bad.
    Thanks for your kind input

If you have to much cash in your bank, Why you expecting the government to pay for your dental treatment! Go see a private dentist and pay yourself.

PIP and ESA are sickness and disability benefits people get if they can't work because of an illness, or get if they are disabled and have mobility and require extra care.

ESA is employment and support allownace which is what someone claims if unable to work through I'll health or disability. You can get contribution basd for at least a year which is unaffected by savings and or income.

PIP is personal independnce payment which is for those who have care and or mobikity needs. It is not means tested so your savngs wouldn't natter if eligiblr.

If you have sold a house and intend to buy another you are allowed to have thar6 disregarded for a certain amount of time. Op even if you are sanctioned you should still sign on to get your NI. credits.
Go see you doctor for a fit note, and look for an NHS dentist . Ignore the negative comments on here

If you have more than 6k in Savings in the bank you need to declare this to DWP and they will deductions to your claim, If you have over 16k. You're not entitled to state benefits.

You can get contribution based benefits no matter how much savings you have. PIP is not means tested so again it doesn't matter how much savings someone has.

NHS work will not cost you thousands. The maximum charge for a course of treatment is £233.70.

Are you not fit for work? You've mentioned the flu but longer term are you able? ESA is for those that are not able to work.
  • Thanks. I have myasthenia gravis, and tbh it's only a mild form thankfully .
I don't feel fit enough for anything right now, as I had 10 years of stress.
I get free prescriptions , but found out bout 3 months from my sister.
I won't be asking to be signed off as unfit for work . I have no job right now, and will discuss when I see new doctor when I see them.
There are people far worse off than me .
If I can register as nhs on the dental side, then that is good .
    Thanks
