I can't think of anything worse than being a live-in landlord!
I would always go with a property to suit just my needs plus other investments than a property too big for my needs with tenants taking spare rooms.
yes i totally agree. thats why i only let out the room to my brother. i wouldnt do it to anyone else. i had done to strangers in my previos property - the first one left after 3 months as he found somewhere closer to work, the 2nd wanted friends over to stay the night far too often so he had to go, and the 3rd was a crazy girl i had to get rid off after 2 weeks!
i would never again let out to strangers my own home.0 -
If your current flat is suitable for your needs, why change it? You'd probably spend thousands getting your new place exactly to your liking, and then have to spend thousands more when you downsize.
Put your money into equities/bonds and bet on the whole global economy, instead of just one flat.Eco Miser
