Don't know alarm code

We have lived in our house over 2 years but have never known the alarm code. We don't use it but it does have a door sensor that beeps when the front door is opened. My bf has just removed this to paint the door and the alarm has gone off due to 'tampering'. We tried various obvious codes (0000, 1111, 1234) but it did go off on its own after a couple of minutes when he put the door connector back down.
After some googling, it seems to be a Yale HSA 3500. I found the user manual online but couldn't see instructions for resetting the pin.
Any ideas?

Wouldn't be much of an alarm if you could find out how to reset it online. maybe phone Yale and they may send someone round to reset it.0 -
Any ideas?
Replace the Control Panel with a newer model which you set-up yourself?0
