I need a new car and from what I have read I think leasing may be the way to go.

I do very little mileage c 6000 pa but I want a maintenance free option and the features a new car will bring.

I am only looking for a smallish car but it must be stylish and reliable.

Where do I look for what options there are available?

Are there any stand out deals currently available?
Any pitfalls or things I should be aware of?

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Thanks, the first link is not working but the second one was informative. So it is just a question of narrowing down the make and model and looking at what the dealers have to offer it seems?

I have no particular car in mind.

Does anyone know of any good deals?

If you're open to the type of car then that's ideal - just look at the offers on the various websites. Don't get too hung up about maintenance as keep in mind they will be new cars under manufacturers warranty and your mileage is low so you may not come across servicing on some models... (assuming you're think about a 3 year lease?).

Take a look at Lings Cars - the website is awful and screams of scams but I assure you she is genuine (I have a car from her - excellent service!) - http://www.lingscars.com/

go for a standard car, dont be too choosy on colour or add extras then the costs mount up.
If you can and do compromise on make/model there are some very good deals.
Look at the contact hire and leasing website,

I leased an astra 1.4 turbo(150 bhp) in may Elite model, 1yr with 15000m for £460 plus 154.99 monthx12. No maintenance but it should not need it. Make sure they are a member of the BVRLA
Was brand new, metallic paint delivered tome in SW Scotland on a low loader with 7m on the clock when dropped off.
You will have a credit check, have to return the car in an agreeable state, insure the car. Tax likely to be covered and maintenance an option.
