Redfromstart that's a good idea to offer a word of encouragement, you are right it is lonely at first .
Today was the visit to the doctor with my stomach issues. Suffice to say the doctor was fantastic, I am having a battery of blood tests and other procedures to rule out lots of things . It will probably be IBS but at least I will know every angle has been covered.
I know everyone is feeling the lack of enthusiasm at the moment , everything I am doing is for Christmas. Gym visits aren't happening as often as they should , have done no surveys for weeks .
I am determined on Monday I want to have two normal weeks before the Christmas break .
Was very giddy at my petrol price paid. I can't wait for January to see how much I have paid off my debt .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Despite my best intentions I am struggling with the gym at the moment too
It is great that you have such a good GP. I had a rubbish one for ages but the one I changed to is great...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Hi Cumbria Lass
I think it is that funny time just before Christmas when there seems to be so many stresses. I have that feeling that everyone is having a fantastic time but me. Even if I know that is skewed thinking.
Get your GP to check you don't have bile acid malabsorbtion. It's what I have and means I drink a powder mixed into wallpaper paste, well that's what it looks like. That and reducing additives helps. I'm pleased they took you seriously. It helps to make you feel as though you aren't losing it! Mine is fantastic, she even gave me a hug today.
Thanks for visiting my new diary too, it's good to have visitors
Take care honey

I'm glad you've been to the doctor Cumbria. If it's IBS there are a few tablets that can help a bit. I take Mebeverine for mine but Buscopan is also good and can be bought over the counter.
Annoying about the phone, it feels like they're trying to scam you .
I know what you mean about the pre Christmas period, my exercise routine and healthy eating have gone right out of the window recently.

Glad you're getting the stomach issues sorted and that your GP is on the ball.
Once December starts it's all too easy to use the excuse of "well it's Christmas" to go right off the rails with everything. (End of November onwards to be honest.)I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
