  • Hi there Cumbrian

Sorry I have been missing. I am getting back into the groove though I promise.

When is your next physio booked? It's great when you find a physio who "gets you" if you know what I mean?

I think this virus we have all had has knocked everyone sideways. It seems to affect everything - back, digestion, head, mood, just everything. I get the impression that it will take us a while to get back to where we feel as though we are living, not simply surviving.

I know what you mean about getting back into a routine but please take it easy. It's good news that the liver tests are normal. Do you know when you will have treatment for the other stuff? Don't want to use the Cword.

The trip to Australia is going to concentrate your efforts in the best way possible. What a lovely thing to look forward to... how long are you going for? I am still mulling over the idea of going to Spain for a month. My friend has contacted me about it again this evening so it's in the forefront of my thoughts again.

Please take it easy on the road to recovery. You really have been very poorly so give your poor body a chance to recover. After all, you can only watch so much daytime TV and if you overdo it too much, you could end up back on the settee.

    Take care honey

Thank you Pauline for such a lovely post .

The physio was tonight 30 mins and it feels great when I come out.

Treatment for the nose can be any time up to 18 weeks , as it isn't going to spread anywhere as it isn't life threatening.

I am going to Australia for just over 3 weeks.

Today I have done some phone calls at work , my voice was ok , but my throat was ready for a rest .

Butternut squash soup for dinner and a yoghurt have been consumed . I am going to bed again around 9pm as I feel tired .

Small steps to being 100% fit .

Glad going back to work did you good. Hey don't knock going to bed at 9pm, I do most nights in order to get up at 5am.

Have a good night's rest xx
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • I'm not surprised you are headed to bed soon.

After swimming this morning I pretty much collapsed as I had done 15 lengths which is a huge increase in distance. You would think I would be able to count correctly, wouldn't you? So I haven't done much for the rest of the day. It didn't help that I didn't sleep at all last night.

    Take care honey

  • You are on the up Cumbria Lass. Plenty of sleep will help you recover faster too.
If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

    Emergency fund 800/1000
    Buffer fund 0/100
    Debt Free (again) 25/072025
  • Well done Cumbria, you'll get there. Glad you are looking after yourself.
Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.
  • Take it easy. £40 to the Australia pot is good. Small steps
