My husband found a bird in the loft. My visitors heard birds wings flapping in early morning so the bird is still there. Pl I need some advice do I contact a pest control or get a handyman to check the roof for any entry? Thanks

Can you capture it and release it yourself? Depends how safe your loft is I suppose.
Otherwise it might find its way back out on its own otherwise yes, you'll probably need some kind of pest controller to remove it.
A handyman should be able to inspect your roof for entry points but you might want an actual roofer to fix the problem.0 -

A cat would be ideal - If it doesn't catch the bird, it should scare it out of the roof space.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Your husband has seen the bird in the loft or just heard it? Can your husband approach the bird so it flies back out of its entry point and then maybe put an obsticle if front of the entry point till you find more more permanant solution. Can you put some pigeon spikes underneath your gutters, you can get them from ebay0

Throw a blanket over the bird and take it outside. If it's collapsed and out of energy call the RSPCA or RSPB or whatever.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0
