Hi
A friend gave me a copy last year. I remember it now being as simple as clicking set up/auto run, but I had to click a few icons.
Since then, I've done a fresh install of windows on my laptop and trying to reinstall the flipping thing.
So opening DVD
Ms office 2010 x64
-Ms office professional plus 2010
- sp1 x64
Ms office 2010 x86
-Ms Office professional plus 2010
- ms project professional 2010
- ms visio premium 2010
- sp1 x86
I clicked setup when entering one or both the above and it appeared to go through the set up process, but there is no desktop icon.
I probably haven't done it right
Given my laptop is clean, do I need extra files or programme to-do this?

Looks like a dodgy DVD, especially if you don't have to enter a licence key or there is a text file with the licence keys in.0

I installed it perfectly fine last year and it worked with no issues at all.
I remember I had to click different files to install it as I had no idea what I was doing, like this time.
So I'm looking for guidance on which files I need to open and in what order0 -
Has it installed at all? Is it in your list of programs?
If so you may just need to create desktop icons.
If you need further help post your operating system version on this thread.
(I presume it is a pukka copy of office, though......)0 -
Ok seems I've got it. There are no desktop icons and I have to go into.start0

If you select the program from the Start Menu>All programs>Microsoft Office and then Right-click with the mouse you should be able to go Send To>Desktop (create shortcut).
This will create a shortcut for you on your desktop.0
