PS Second date booked with Thursday's date for this Friday - suggested some live comedy which is good as I like that sort of thing. And a first date with a different chap I got chatting to tonight booked for the week after.

Internet dating is weird like that. Wouldn't usually date more than one guy, but you know everyone does it on line. Can always cancel the second guy if the first guy start to seem more keen. But I made the mistake with my ex of deciding after the first date to stop internet dating completely and go fro it with him, and I don't think he was really ready for someone to take him that seriously that quickly and it set the tone for our relationship - I chased around after him, he took me for granted.

Don't get me wrong, I won't be getting into a sexual relationship with more than one guy, but aside of a friendly kiss on the cheek which I'd do with any friend, there wasn't even a kiss on date one so I don't feel like it's cheating to see someone else too.
  • Went to a 1940's wedding at weekend. Bought a 1940 style tea dress from a recommended site lindybop.co.uk. Never worn anything like that before. Style very flattering and feminine. Also put on red lipstick and nail varnish for first time. Felt very fab!

LL I hope you have a great holiday

Toni's Friend, thanks for the great idea of buying Wayne surprise presents, I will start this week

Lainey T, Chanie and Ruby, I too am just starting out on changing my diet to a much healthier one, I know what to do, I just need to get on with it and change my eating habits to much healthier ones

Indie, you certainly have a wise head on you with regards your internet dating. I hope you find a special man. I love reading about all of your experiences in your social life, because you always seem to be having such a good time and have a wide circle of friends from your experiences. Keep having fun! You go woman! You are a great testament to how good a life is available to single women in London if they have a little confidence

Chanie I have been with Wayne since March 2016, but it has been very on and off. He simply refuses to allow me to pay for anything, but I will keep having that conversation with him and hopefully will change his mind in the not too distant future. In the meantime I will take up Toni's Friend's suggestion of buying Wayne surprise presents to redress some of the balance. I usually book the hotel rooms online, but I might start booking them direct, so that I can pay for the room before we arrive, then refuse to let Wayne pay me back.

I had a great time with Wayne at Karaoke last night. He was so thoughtful and we danced the night away and did some talking. He is still nervous about meeting my children, but it will happen this weekend. I sang 2 songs at Karaoke especially for Wayne

    1. The Wonder of You by Elvis
    2. Hurt so Good by Susan Cadogan

Wayne was really pleased, as I was not going to bother singing as there were so many singers present and I like to listen to other people singing. Next week I will dedicate a song to him, which will really make him happy.

I realised that I do Love Wayne and I believe that he does Love me. I just hope that we can continue to grow and develop within our relationship so that we just go from strength to strength. We are certainly making each other happier than we have before and we are both hopeful for a future together

Sounds lovely, I really like that kind of style.

Well, I've made at least my fair share of mistakes and possibly rather more than that in the past so I am hoping to at least learn from them this time round! I do my best to make the most of living in London. Made a very conscious choice to move here for a better social life and think given how blooming expensive it is to live here, it is only really worth it if you make the most of it.

Good to hear you and Wayne are finding a way to make things work. There are worse flaws than trying to pay for everything. I prefer to pay my way, but having had guys who have taken advantage of me financially, I could take a bit of spoiling from time to time!

My eating has been a little erratic (not dreadful but a few too many sweet treats) the last couple of weeks and I've been avoiding the scales for fear I might have put a pound or two on. Anyway, I've made myself enough soup to get through the week and sorted out little pots of snacks - nuts, seeds, coconut chips and will make some salads for the next couple of days so hopefully will be back on track and dropping the pounds again soon. Am so close to being two stones down and that really would be an exciting landmark to reach.

No luck looking in charity shops at the weekends but am going to the outlet centre in Ashford in a couple of weekends so might be able to find some relative bargains there.

There's a bitter wind here today - didn't get my fleece off during my park work out and think I will be putting a jumper on with my jeans when I get out of my sports kit. My garden definitely thinks it's spring but the view out my window isn't backing that up!!

Sugarbaby - So glad everything is going well. Wayne will obviously be nervous about meeting your children. Try and keep it very low key (been there - can be difficult). Had another thought but depends on where you live. How about buying a Groupon type voucher for a meal or overnight stay. That way you can pay for it in advance and he can pay for any extras (drinks, etc)

Is she? I didn't know that. She's prbably thought of that ploy herself then. I love getting restaurant vouchers and going out for a meal. Probably explains why I find it so difficult to loose weight

    Chanie and Toni's Friend,

I had made a vow not to buy restaurant meals via Groupon this year, as I really need to get healthy this year and going out for meals is maybe not the best way to do so even though they are discounted priced meals.

Wayne is very set in his ways and he mostly prefers to eat typical Jamaican 'hard' food. Wayne likes Nando's, but I am not keen to go to Nand0's too often as the allure of going there soon wears off. There are 2 really good restaurants local to me that do Jamaican food, but he has never been to either one, even though I have been trying to persuade him to try them. He prefers to eat more or less the same food every day, he does not have an adventurous palate. I am always trying to get him to try foods from other cultures.

Good luck with persuading Wayne to try out the Jamaican restaurants sugar.:)

As well as restaurants, there are Groupon Getaways which are deals on hotels. They are mostly country hotels from what I've seen but I haven't looked that closely. Perhaps you and Wayne could have a night out of town at some point. Just an idea.:)

TF, you're so right about eating out being the enemy of weightloss. It seems to have got worse as restaurants try to keep prices down by upping the cheap ingredients. Everything seems to be fried or full of bread or pastry. I'm out for a meal later and the only healthy option will be steak and salad (salad portion has shrunk massively over the last couple of years). Fortunately this place does new potatoes.

It's casual in a pub so I'll probably wear my black jeans with a long sleeved top and a jacket. I think it's warm enough for ballet flats rather than boots. I'm gradually getting a little bit of colour in my face so make up will be minimal. When I can do without foundation/tinted moisturiser I just do my eyebrows (love the Rimmel kit that someone recommended), mascara, some highlighter and lippy and a brush of bronzer if I still look pale.

    Have a good day all.:)
