How to complain about a Tattoo and Piercing shop

Hello,

I have a complaint about a repetable Tattoo/Piercing shop in Manchester. Please can anyone give me an address for a governing body ?

Have you tried taking the issue up with them first?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

And what's the nature of the complaint, poor workmanship, bad hygiene practices, breaking the law re underage tattooing/piercing?

If it is either of the later two, then forget about any trade body and contact the licensing department of your local council, who will investigate and bring in environmental health and/or trading standards if necessary.

From what I can see, there isn't a governing body for tattoo shops. This may be because running a tattoo/piercing shop is a licensable activity and the local authority are responsible for overseeing them. If, what ever the complaint is could constitute a breach of this licence then you could contact the licensing department of the council for that area.

If it is more of an issue with the quality of their product, you could approach trading standards.

Or if you feel that they have breached a contract with you in relation to the quality or provision of goods and/or services to you there are legal remedies.

You should start by finding out if they have an official licence to trade as a tattooist:

    Complaints
Contact Premise Licensing in the first instance.

    Email
    premises.licensing@manchester.gov.uk

The barber shop in my village has a sign pointing upstairs "Tattoo's".
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".
