No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries January 2017

I've just sold another item from my stash on eBay (unopened) so that takes my OUT's to 11 for month.0

Happy new year everyone.
I've been trying to work out a total number of products so I can set a target for 2017. I think I have about 230. I'd like to get down to below 150 by the end of the year. I don't count make up as I seem to be able to resist that.
230 includes some samples and I will count them as UUs when I use them. I know that sounds like cheating but samples are still taking up space in my cupboard and they can last me a few days, giving that cash in my bank account a liiiiiittle bit longer to stay with me.
I've been very controlled (I think) during the sales, had a big splurge on Lush stuff but it was things I use regularly and 3 bath bombs. Despite putting lots of things in my basket on some of the bigger beauty websites, I've not bought anything else. But my real temptation is when the detox/spring themed beauty boxes start to appear.
I finished my whole PP list during December!
And I've had some UUs already in Jan:
Baylis and Harding ABC shower gel 750ml - raffle prize. took forever to use, I put it in hand soap dispensers in the end, WNB
Alpha H Liquid gold toner - I was scared of this to start with but when I use it, people sometimes say that my skin looks good, so I decided to persevere. BUT I have got sunburned a couple of times when I forget to put SPF on the day after. WBA but not just yet.
Hotel shower gel a random one my husband brought back
ESPA optimal skin ProSerum 8mlI love this, but I can't spend that much on a full size.
Foreo cleanser came in an advent calendar to use with Foreo luna play. That thing looks so much like it's for um, something elsethat when I was staying with my mum I had to explain what it was before she saw it and drew her own conclusions. Anyway, I quite like the Luna play and my skin looks soooo clean with it, but I don't like this cleanser. You can use other non scrubby cleansers with it so I will do that. I HATE the fact that once the battery goes you have to chuck it. So horribly wasteful.
Anne Semonin eye express radiance ice cube what a let down. I thought this was the answer to my eye bag related prayers. Did nothing and was a complete faff to get on.
Rituals sakura body lotion horrible over powering, sweet smell. I was using it with some elemis shower gel which I usually find quite strong but this smothered it totally. Glad it's over.
My Jan PP list
Orla Kiely Geranium hand cream
AVEDA pre style prep
Dr Pawpaw lip balm
Homemade body cream
Homemade cleanser
Organic Surge Overnight sensation
Codage serum
Melvita toner

I have a seaweed mud cellulite mask in my stash which I will probaly have forever, it involves putting the mud on your wobbly bits and covering them with clingfiln for 45 minutes before washing off. Mmm, how relaxing standing wrapped in muddy clingfilm in a cold bathroom for the best part of an hour.
I keep seeing it when I sort out my stash and I always think how uncomfortable and messy it would be to use. But I can't think what else I can use it for!
Anyone elss have stash items they feel similarly about?0 -

Thanks for confirming this. I figured as others did it was fine. I never knew you couldn't on eBay either.
Looks like I'll be trying to make them work then. I can't bear to throw away foundations that have cost £30+ a bottle!0 -
First post on this thread, had a few UUs.
Foot mask socks - HG product, love these!
Biore charcoal nose strip - Another HG, only got 1 left and need to get some more!
Herbal Essences conditioner - Yet another HG, I've tried other shampoo and conditioners, but I've never found others work for me
Disposable razor and shower puff - I have so many of these I've added them to my list!
Dove shower gel - smelt lovely and made my skin feel lovely and soft, would probably buy again.
Wilko Shaving Foam - Throw Away - It was practically empty but had gone crusty and weird so thought I'd just chuck it!
Boots Foot Deodorant spray - I find this really great when wearing boots all day, keeps your tootsies fresh!
Body Shop Wild Rose hand soap - I've had this for years but have finally finished it! It smells nice, and was nice on my hands. Bit pricey though, so am not sure I'll buy again.0 -

Could you check the ingredients and see if it is suitable to use as a face mask? There is no way it will get rid of cellulite anyway so I wouldn't even bother with the faff.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Ooooh, i used one of those a couple of times years ago. I don't think they actually do anything, but if you want to give it a go, maybe do a pedicure at the same time? That could easily take 45 mins for me - soak feet and scrub, polish off, properly clean, trim, file nails, and new base coat and polish...0 -
Another not very exciting UU:
Magnolia and Silk Hand Wash from Tesco - loved this! WBA
Oh and another eBay sale0 -
morning all,
another couple of UU for me (loving that a few have gone in the first couple of weeks of the month but suspect that means things will slow down!)
UU: Elemis PCMC - HG love love love this. Have 2 more in stash but will use a couple of smaller bits and pieces that are part used already before opening a new one.
UU: Bare minerals mineral veil. WMBA, it was a nice finishing powder but can't say that it really kept my makeup on any longer (mind you not much helps my foundation stay on my oil slick face!)walk 2018 miles in 2018 - 781 of 2018
