Sorry to hear about your job CharlieKat. You're doing great at getting organised and I hope you find another job soon. I agree with you about writing in a diary on this forum, it really does help to get everything down and vent abit! Take care x

Hey CharlieKat - new reader here. Sorry about the job, that's always worrying, but it looks like you're on top of things!

When we were trying to clear out we used MusicMagpie/WeBuyBooks and cleared nearly £200 just shifting things we were getting rid of anyway. Not sure if that's worth it for you?

    Hello all

How lovely to have visitors :j

Thank you Kittenkirst I had another couple of sales so made another payment off the card with the profit :T sig all updated :D

Hi Jessy103 aw thank you - I'm really having to put an effort in not to be too down about it all :o I am trying to get organised :o a ways to go yet - utility postponed until tomorrow but it's been a busy few days.

Hi michelle09 I've a few good books to sell so I will try the book sales after bay of e. I've used the book sites before but not sure i've used that one - thank you for the reminder :D

Hi shangaijimmy I wish I had some cd's to sell but like you - i live in fear of approaching my Mr's - even though he never listens to them :rotfl: I've never been a collector of them so none of my own and no computer games etc either.

Thank you all for your lovely encouraging posts I'll have to find your diaries to get some more tips as there's some good sigs there :D

I meant to reply sooner but life has been busy.

Applied for some more jobs, sadly not heard back from previous applications.

Sausage casserole made with enough left to freeze a couple of meals for us and managed to use up some bits of veg and bacon in it too :D

Utility will be tomorrow - also hoping to list on the bay tomorrow too but the weather has meant really bad light so i'm hoping it's better for tomorrow so i can get some good pics and some more sales :D

Annoyingly on one of items i sold the post office charged first class postage and not 2nd even though i'd definitely asked for it :( He was helping a colleague at the same time but i was a bit down about being some pence down when i checked my receipt :(

However, found a £1 today so i guess that all balances out :)

Long walk was had and some quality time planned for me and my Mr this week.

Trying to think of some more money saving / money making ways

    Hi all

i posted a reply the other day but it was so grumpy and full of :( that i deleted it instead - needless to say it hasn't been a great week.

I want to post regularly though so the positives are - i've listed quite a few things on the bay of e and had 1 or 2 sales :T i need to keep this money in my account though as I thought a payment I'd made had deducted off the balance and it hadn't so i went a little overdrawn - it was inside my agreed overdraft though so not as bad as it could have been.

I've gathered all my books together and think its worth just selling them in bulk to a book-buying place as suggested above - there's no guarantee they'd sell individually and they'd probably need to be on a long time whereas I need the money and space now.

I've been food shopping for needed things and clearing the freezer out is going well :T

This weekend I aim to get some studying done and I really want to have a good clear out as well as keep on top of the cooking.

hope everything is going well for everyone :)

Hi CharlieKat - sorry to hear about the job. I used webuybooks quite alot and found them to be decent enough - you can arrange for a courier to come to you to collect the boxes at no extra charge which may be helpful if you don't fancy lugging aload of stuff to the Post Office x
