Happy belated birthday Honeysucklelou. How lovely that most of your children plus partners could be there to celebrate and that DD1 could come back for the weekend.
Fab idea about getting the Tesco parent student card to help with food bills. I hadn't thought to get another for DD. It would have helped a lot!4 -
Belated happy birthday! It sounds like you had an absolutely lovely time with all the children - they really sound like a credit to you.

Happy Birthday 🥳 🥳Sounds like you had a lovely day, it’s makes you realise what’s important in life when you have everyone together and having fun.My elec/gas was £80 last year but company went bust and it went up to about £100. It is going up to £142 in April. Not had my council tax bill yet so I don’t know if We are getting a discount that was talked about.Enjoy your weekend, raining here ☹️4

@Parkyp it’s not a discount but a credit to your bank account (appreciate there’s little difference in reality!), if you have a direct debit set up to pay your council tax. Otherwise I think the council will send it by cheque probably. Council tax bill came yesterday here, with just a generic info sheet about it. Payment will be in April.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I think it depends where you live how you get the £150. If in England on DD then you will get a direct payment into your bank account; otherwise it will be a cheque.
In the other countries, at least in Scotland but think Wales and Ireland too, it is being given via discount to the council tax.
