Happy belated birthday Honeysucklelou. How lovely that most of your children plus partners could be there to celebrate and that DD1 could come back for the weekend.

Fab idea about getting the Tesco parent student card to help with food bills. I hadn't thought to get another for DD. It would have helped a lot!

    Happy Birthday 🥳 🥳
Sounds like you had a lovely day, it’s makes you realise what’s important in life when you have everyone together  and having fun.

My elec/gas was £80 last year but company went bust and it went up to about £100. It is going up to £142 in April. Not had my council tax bill yet so I don’t know if We are getting a discount that was talked about.

Enjoy your weekend, raining here ☹️

I think it depends where you live how you get the £150.  If in England on DD then you will get a direct payment into your bank account; otherwise it will be a cheque.

In the other countries, at least in Scotland but think Wales and Ireland too, it is being given via discount to the council tax.
