Sounds like the ex is throwing his toys out of the pram, makes you wonder what he’s got to hide 🤔 Best keep out of his way as much as you can although I’d be tempted to square up to him and give him hell 🤬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles with the ex.
Are these the sort of things that need to be notified to the solicitor? If so it may strengthen your case and possibly restrain him from the worst of it.

ThanI you Spendless, SA & Cherryfudge.
SA - I am definitely of the “ keep out of his way “ strategy! This time, his actions have made me feel, more than ever, that I don’t want to be anywhere near him.
Cherryfudge - Yes I’ve had to communicate with the solicitor again.
Despite a rainy start the late afternoon and evening have been beautifully sunny. The younger ones and I got to the beach this afternoon and had great fun drawing in the sand. After the stresses of the week, it was good to feel the wind in my face and see the sea.
Its been quite a spendy week in all. The Hoover has completely given up 😣 but thankfully Mr T had £40 off a Henry hoover, so I got that. Glad to be able to clean the floors effectively again. The leavers hoodies have been paid for, for the relevant children and some exam revision software been purchased for DD3 . Two children needed trousers too 😏.
We did get to the allotment today, not for as long as I would have liked but at least a start has been made.🙂paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

It’s the one day of the week that I can have a lie in...and DS1’s dog woke me up at 6.30😏! Still nice to have a leisurely cup of tea and not feel I have to rush.
My toe is not as swollen as on Monday but is still purple and hurts on the side of the toe. Hopefully just bruising.
Forgot to add yesterday that £67.50 has been paid off debts in the last week.
I’m hoping that we can get out today for a decent walk. It’s the last Sunday we can all do as from next weekend DD2 and DD3 will be back on split shifts .
Have a good Sunday everyone.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

You are making excellent progress on your repayments.
I hope you all got your walk? We are dodging downpours here!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thank you Cherryfudge. Unfortunately we didn’t get our Sunday walk in as it was raining fairly constantly. DDs 2 and 3 are now back at work so will be tricky to get walks in with all of us. We have enjoyed lockdown for the benefit of extra time together🙂.
My first shift went well. It felt a bit strange and first and a couple of us were left thinking “Now where do we keep that?” but by the end of the gift is was falling into place more. I’ve been quite surprised that bookings have been coming in as quickly as they have but must show that people are feeling confident to get back to a greater degree of normality. I have a mid week shift each week which is fantastic news as it ensures I am out when the ex is with the children, but close enough should they need me.
There has been lots of stress induced stomach churning over the weekend which I am trying to navigate through. Faith has helped along with reading lots of the Psalms...many different emotions expressed, some eloquently and some simply expressing the raw nature of the emotion.
MSE wise, the 2 youngest children’s shoes both became unfit for purpose today which necessitated a trip to get more on the way home from work. Can ‘t see much wriggle room this week to be able to save or pay anything off a debt.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

It sounds like a really tough weekend.
I'm learning to relate to the Psalms too: there is so much in there. I'm also using the NHS's well-being guide with their five things that help support mental well-being.
I hope this week is better - good that you can be out of the house when the ex might be around, and also that the shoe emergency, while it might slow your repayments, won't make your situation any worse. Overpayments are great but not essential!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Congratulations on your Henry Hoover. Mine is 11 years old, and goes to work with me every day. Since we moved to a three story house I bought a second one. Always recommend them 😊
Sorry to hear about the stress with the ex. Faith can be a lifesaver in these situations.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉4 -

I went through many rubbish hoovers before I bought a Henry, they’re brilliant. Got a Shark at the minute though which is good but not as good as a Henry. I’m glad you’ve found comfort in your faith to get you through a stressful time.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
