How exciting to find a 'hidden' beach that only occasionally appears. That's the sort of book I'd have loved to read about when young with children adventurers discovering it and having various escapades there and then returning another time and it not being 'open' and having to look out for when it is. Or a murder mystery where they've hidden the weapon in one of the caves and it can't be found or proved until the beach is exposed again. If you're right and you do only see the beach at certain times due to the moon, keep an eye on when it might reveal itself again. I found this about supermoon dates. Would love to know if you're correct

Have you mentioned the exes machinery etc lying around the garden to the solicitor? It doesn't sound ideal for the younger ones to be around that part and could do with a resolution whatever the house outcome eventually is.
Good idea to start a savings fund for Uni for DD3. You'll know from DD1 where the 'hotspots' were for costing money for this stage of their education.

Thank you Spendless & SH.
Thank you for the list of super moons...I will have to go back and see if the beach appears again. I’m so glad that I took photos of the beach when it was such a low tide.
I can’t remember whether I’ve mentioned machinery or not to the solicitor...I seem to have brought quite a bit to their attention over the last year or so in particular. I have taken a photo of it to show what I mean if I need to prove it.
Work has been very busy so far again this week. This evening I did get out which has worked well. Being here midweek when the ex sees the children, I find tough but consciously getting out for an hour has made me feel brighter and better🙂.
Direct debits went out of my account yesterday so am a little less in debt than I was. A NSD today so hoping I can get a few more in this month!

Thank you SH and Lucielle.
Good question Lucielle - much depends on the flower bed aspect and soil type eg is it an island bed, a cut flower raised bed or perhaps part of a border? Anyway suggestions are -
annuals - Cornflowers, Calendulas, Cosmos, Antirrhinums, Rudbeckia, Nigella, Poppies, Cerinthe, Borage, Sweet peas ( an absolute must in my humble opinion!),
Biennials - Sweet Williams, Foxgloves,
Perennials - roses, lavender, euonymus hardy fuchsia, Aquilegia, kniphofia,
I think it was Sarah Raven’s book in which I read about thinking of flowers as a bridal party. You need a bride type flower, the bridesmaids and the green filler type plants to offset the flowers. Not explaining it as well as Sarah Raven does - she wrote about it when arranging flowers but the principles could transfer to planning a bed.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Beautiful 😍 I have lots of bluebells in my garden but dotted about everywhere. They were originally planted under the tree by the pond but have managed to sneak into other places too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Thank you SA. The woods near us are so beautiful, especially at this time. The ground was absolutely carpeted with bluebells and the fragrance , as we walked along the paths, was delightful! On the way to the woods we noticed the hedgerows had really bloomed in the last 10 days. Grass, dock leaves, Stitchwort, Hart’s Tongue fern, Campion and Bluebells were all seen as well as wild garlic. The bracken was starting to unfurl and I’ve never noticed the likeness in shape to a seahorses head before, as I did yesterday!! The vibrancy of the new green leaves and the sunlight coming through the leaves was such a joy to see.
Moneywise, the budget has completely gone to pot. Two children would like leavers hoodies / books for the schools that they are leaving which will knock a £60 hole to start with. DD3 also needs a revision software package for extra exams that she needs to sit prior to UCAS applications in the Autumn. Just as I thought I might be able to crack on with greater repayments when I get back to job no 2, were dashed when I realised that any extra money will need to be directed to DD3’s driving lessons which have just gone up to £60 a time 😫. We live so far from the nearest driving centre town that 2 hour lessons are a necessity. Hey ho...needs must.
I’ve got a day off today so hoping to head to the allotment and catch up on jobs that are way behind.paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

What wonderful bluebells!
That's a shocking amount to pay for driving, though it will pay off over the years she can use the skill.
Have fun at the allotment!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
