I hope everyone has had a good Easter
mum2one Conwy is my neck of the woods, live about 30 minutes away, love living here.
Chanie I'm quite particular with packing, especially on my daughters weekend sporting events where we have to leave the hotel quite early on a Sunday so for me the storage cubes are ideal. I like everything contained and easy to pack/organise.wouldnt be much good for my niece, she travels alot but it is a rucksack and throw it all/chuck it around type.
Got the last of the birthday presents for the year in the Arg@s clearance section and a tip off on dressing up costumes -Disn@y, chuffed because it has kept me well within a good budget for cracking presents that the little ones of the family will love. Happy days!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Been away a while. Having a read and catch up. Last month of maternity pay now and I need to be good and get back into money saving. Not going back to work so going to be very poor very soon.
We didn't buy Easter eggs..apart from for my niece and nephew. Waited until free Easter and went in the hotel chocolat sale for eggs. Got two marzipan eggs, a big chocolate sheep and three mini pots of chocolate buttons all for £20. Less than half price. So that's what Easter would have cost.
But there goes my "being good" and not eating junk. Oops.
I saw a post on Facebook, one of those "only X weeks til Christmas" type ones. Got goosebumps and my first giddy. I think when the little one has a nap this weekend I'll drag everything out of the present cupboard and do a proper stock take of presents, wrapping and cards.Book a week challenge: 11/52. I managed to finish off a birthday present today ready for Feb next year. It was reduced Star Wars lego, couldn't have found a better present for my cousins son.
B@@ts also have a clearance section, basically some of their items from Christmas back up at 50%. Got a couple of bits I wanted for stash and a birthday using my points, as my DD pinched my idea for besties DD, so had to get my thinking cap on until today for something else
Drag that stash out CCL nothing more satisfying than doing a present stash stock check. I have to write everything down in a book-birthdays and Christmas otherwise I would struggle badlyDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Im glad I did. I found things I'd forgotten about. I bought lots of small pieces that go as a set that I wanted to make little gift bundles from. So they're out now for me to do that. Got to find some cellophane bags. Got small ones but need bigger.
I admit it wasn't the tidiest. There was an avalanche, but everything survived and nothing hit me on the head. So that's probably a sign it was long overdue.
Good fun. And I have now assigned a note book as a list, date, person type organizer to keep with my card organizer.Book a week challenge: 11/52. Competitions won in 2021: 120 -
Curses- just wrote a long reply and deleted... somehow!
Hello
Anyway, I'm home after 4 weeks away.
My first trip out of the area after knee op x 2. Had a lovely time in Ireland and the dogs had a great time running round and round the large garden. (Shyla was very determined not to get in the car for the return journey and gave me scowls all the way home!)
I survived the journeys well. The return was 18 hours travelling and a 39 hour day! First time I have done that for many many years, so thank you new knees, even 'though they are aching still!
I usually break the return journey by staying overnight with friends but I want them to take me to port of Liverpool and collect me from Man airport later in the year (as well as home the car for 4 weeks!)
I had a few bargains in Mr T (Ireland) I got in there the day after the bigwigs had visited and the reductions shelf had a grand clear out, pretty much everything @ 10, 20 or 30 cents! So I bought friends broken boxes of this, that and the other! Think I had a 12 pack of HulaHoops for 30c. I also bought myself a Morphy Richards spiralizer for £16- think they are around £50 (not worth that!)
They had also reduced the ladies fancy Christmas socks to 68c per pair. Then the 3 for 2 was still valid so it was more or less 3 x £2 socks for £1.10!!and yes I stocked up- bought loads for friends (I mean for them to buy off me) and then a huge stack with seasonal dog designs which will be just perfect for charity doggy gift bags.
Another bargain store was Flying Tiger- it's a Danish outlet shop. Lots of pretty wooden / glass eggs at around 18 or more for E1 They look very sweet hanging from twigs with some daffodils. Again stocked up for friends and their sproglets! They also had some polyester shower curtains for E1. I bought a few and cut them up and sewed them into shopping bags complete with their own little pouch. The threads from these was a pain with static electricity- stuck to everything!! Worked out at 6 for 87 pence
I have just reached £1000.40 with fund raising for Dogs for Good. Delivered the last 4 duvets that I had already made to the PO. So, need to get sewing again
I will tell the lion story.......but not today!
I now need to check paperwork- first claim for lost deposit with Voyages of Discovery ready to post to ABTA......... amongst other things!
Swimming still, I'm now aiming at half a mile per visit if conditions permit
Hope everyone is healthy, happy and getting ready for another BH!!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I love Tiger. The only way to describe it is as a posh poundshop, but the quality is really good.
I bought my MIL some luggage cubes. I was eyeing them up on Amazon, but refused to pay the £4 P&P but found them cheaper on ebay with free P&P. I refuse to pay for P&P unless desperate, so Amazon are loosing my business!!!0
