Partial address?

I have been off work sick and rekindled a friendship with an old friend online. She was also sick and we would Facebook message each other just chatting about old times. I didn't realise she was terminally ill.
She died a couple of days ago and I'd like to send a sympathy card to her family. We grew up on the same street but I can't for the life of me remember what number her mum lives at. 192.com confirms her family still live in that post code area but I just can't recall this number!
The family have a fairly unusual surname so I was wondering how likely would it be that a letter got delivered with the street name and post code but no house number? The street has about 40 houses on it.

You can pay for the enhanced 192 listing which gives the full address or you can go to the library and look at the electoral roll... both rely on them not ticking the box to be kept off the public register.
Just thought - look in the local paper (or the website for the local paper) at the obituaries - they will show the undertaker's details and you can send the card to them for onward delivery.:hello:0 -
There is a good chance it would get delivered. In my experience. the Royal Mail is surprisingly good at attempting to deliver with partial addresses, and having the correct postcode will be a big help.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230

I didn't think of the undertaker, I know which one they'd use as there's only 1 in the area and they used him for her gran and grandads funerals.0 -
Hi,
postman with a bit of 'local knowledge' and fact that there will be other cards being delivered should be ok.0 -
A local postman would almost certainly know, even if it goes to the wrong number there's a good chance the neighbours would know who it's for and pop it through the door. The other option if you were talking on Facebook is to contact one of her friend or relatives on there and ask them for the number explaining exactly what you did to us.0

Google Streetview? Most of my Christmas cards only get delivered to friends due to me looking for their door numbers on Streetview. Even if their number isn't visible its easy to spot a neighbouring wheelybin with a number and track back down the street to your friends house.0

Can you not message one of her other Facebook friends, explain who you are and ask for the address so that you can send a card?0

Oh that's a good idea, like I say we grew up on the same street so I know where they live just can't remember the number. If I saw the house I'd remember it.
Don't really want to Facebook the family, they know who I am so that's not a problem. Before we moved away the families were close so my family will go to her funeral when it's arranged. She was very young and has a young child so the family have enough to worry about without fielding social media questions.0 -

I didn't say family, I said a friend.0
