Is this allowed? Changing the advertised offer during the offer period?

So I recived an email from popinabox.co.uk that stated
"Get 5 Pop! Vinyl Figures for just £35! Choose from 517 different pops! Be quick before all the best ones go!!!
Add all 5 Pops to the basket and use code: FIVE for the discount to be applied.
Act fast! This offer will expire 31/12/2016 23:59 GMT"
I immediately went to the website and selected five products that were included in the offer and successfully applied the code to my basket, upon attempting to purchase I realised I didn't have the bank account details handy that I needed so seeing the offer was on till the 31st I saved the items to my basket and attempted to purchase again in the morning.
Upon attempting to purchase I got the message that the contents of my basket did not match the offer requirements, it turns out they removed these five products from the offer over night, I had several arguements with them about this, as they originally denied it but when I sent them some proof this happened they responded with
"Our offers are subject to change at any time, I'm sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused."
Which I can understand but here is the issue, the email states 517 products available to choose from, that's no longer the case because they changed the offer during the advertised period and it now no longer matches what was advertised. If I now click the advert in the email there are only 344 to choose from (this is not a stock issue cause out of stock items are still listed) they have published no correction, false advertising? Or are they allowed to do this?
It's a small matter but I have had so many problems with them, I am wanting to take this further if possible.

They can change due to high demand, if you're not fast your last, until it's bought and paid for then it can change. Looks like you're 5 were out of stock but as long as they updated the offer to reflect this, which by you're description is what they did then they have done nothing wrong.
Even if they are not out of stock they still changed the offer before you paid for them, next time pay straight away, then you won't miss out.0 -

Fair enough. The items are not out of stock they are still avalible to purchase at full price.
So there is nothing wrong with them advertising choosing from 517 products then changing it to 344 ?0 -

Companies are perfectly entitled to change the terms and conditions of special offers, promotions etc and provided that these new T&C's are made clear before someone enters into a new contract then it's legally and morally fine.0
