Solo holiday recommendations?

I'm looking for recommendations of companies that organize group trips to Latin America for single people. I'm looking at Peru mainly but also thinking about Mexico & Guatemala.
I've googled it but I'm looking for personal experiences/reviews of any particular ones. Some companies that I've looked at so far charge quite a hefty single supplement!
I speak good Spanish so I could probably go on my own but would prefer to stick with a group as it's all organised for you.
Thanks in advance!

G-Adventures and Intrepid are 2 that spring to my mind. Not sure if they have age limits officially, but the demographic skews pretty young. These both tend to attract solo travelers and they'll pair you up with another solo traveller to share rooms with, or you can pay an optional supplement for your own room. I'm sure there's plenty of group trips for the more mature also.
Haven't used them myself, but bamba experience seems to be a midway between independent and group travel and could be a good option if you are comfortable speaking Spanish.Save £12k in 2019 #360 -
I'll take a look at G Adventures as I hadn't heard of them before. I'm 29 so would be looking to go with people of similar (ish) age if possible but it's not a major issue. I'm fairly easygoing so don't mind sharing a room. The most important thing to me is that I get to see the country.0

This is the obvious recommendation:

Although if you speak good Spanish you would have a good time, and find plenty of company, going by yourself.0 -

You'll get to see exactly where an organised tour takes you, and at their pace. There will be times when you really like somewhere, but before you know it you have no choice but to move on. What if get travellers sickness? You can't take it easy for a vouple of days if the itinerary is on the road or half-way up a mountain.
I don't speak any Spanish, but enjoyed diy-ing round Nicaragua by 'chicken bus' for a month earlier this year.0 -

Group travel companies can pick cheaper poorly located accommodation to boost their profits, I'd just avoid and do it yourself.
With thorough research you'll work out where the good places to meet are.
Places like Cuzco and Aguas Calientes have a good social atmosphere.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Unless you are wanting to go up the Amazon then I'd always do the main part of the trip as DIY so that you get to the areas you want to see and then book day trips for things which are hard to do on your own. Surely the whole point of a "Solo" holiday is the sense of adventure of being on your own not getting herded around with a group of strangers.
Even when I book tours and day trips I often get frustrated about being made to move on from somewhere I'd like to linger a little longer or being forced to hang around an "attraction" that I had little interest in.
At least with day trips if there are any annoying people in your party you'll soon see the back of them.0 -
G Adventures are a personal favourite of mine. Having been on 7 of their tours over the last few years. I'm the same age as you, and having been on their "yolo" tours the majority of people are mid 20s. But I am yet to feel old and out of place yet. Their Classic tours have no age limit (yolo is up to 39), which may be more of your liking.0
