Prepayment Gas and Electricity to Meter

Hi all,

This time last year, I'd changed from OVO to EDF because we wanted to change from prepayment to meter. EDF informed that they will be able to do this after a certain time with them. After this period of time, I enquired further to when both my utilities (Gas and Electric) will be changed to meter. They proceeded to inform me that my area is eligible for smart meter and they will contact us for appointment to install one. I am still waiting on one - on a waiting list apparently. They also know that I have a vulnerable family member in the home and it is not conducive to constantly going outside to the shop to topup. At this stage, I am fed up with EDF and there empty promises. I am willing to go with anyone just to get a meter.

Does anyone know which electricity and gas provider who is willing to change my prepayment to meter quickly?

For your reference,

I live in London - North West
Gas Tariff is: Blue+Fixed Prepay March 2017
Electricity Tariff is: Blue+Price Protection Jul17
Furthermore, I have no debt with them.

British Gas have the largest metering work force, you would assume that they have the biggest scope for an early exchange. The only way of knowing is to switch.

Don't confirm the switch until you're happy with all the information provided.

You are already metered, what you are requesting is a credit meter.
I'd try to cut a deal to switch to whichever supplier will do a meter switch FOC in return for your business, because otherwise you will be looking at c. £120 for both.

It sounds like they have confused your request for a billing (aka credit) meter, and think you are asking for a smart meter.
Get in touch again and make it clear what you want to happen.
