What I have learned over the many years I have claimed DLA/PIP and ESA is that as soon as you get out of an assessment or you get notified that a paper assessment was done and you qualified is to put in a subject access request for the paperwork you can request copy's of forms they sent you to fill in the info you send what they used, waste of time because they only use what is sent in by you I don't even think they contact GP's any more, or very seldom. In my opinion they brick themselves when within hours the SAR hits the inbox. Unless I am contacting my job centre I would visit if fit for work I always put start the first line of the body with this in capitals PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS GETS TO THE CORRECT DEPARTMENT. If they won't put an email address on the letters then my local office is asked to pass it on

Your subject is PIP SUBJECT ACCESS REQUEST you then get a copy in your sent folder and can then complain if you don't get what is requested in 40 days
Someone please tell me what money is

Just from memory, the backdated amount just appeared, on an odd day, somewhere in the middle of the first 4 week period.

That's great news. Thanks for letting us know.
  • HI my partner has really bad epilepsy. Applied for pip on 17th july this year. Sent all evidence to them, gave them contact details of his Gp and neurologist. Had assessment on 4th September this year, rang them up last week and the report had come through From HCP. Said it would take up to 10 working days to come to us. Rang DWP up on 25th September to check the report had been sent to us only to find out that it’s been sent back to the hcp for a re write? What does this actually mean? I’ve never heard or come across this before.

It would have been better for you to have started your own thread instead of posting multiple places on other peoples posts and sending PM's to people.

This has been know yes, there's probably errors in the report. It doesn't mean it's good or bad but will most likely delay the desision. There's nothing you can do until it's sent back to DWP and a decision's been made.
  • Poppy, were all human and was a simple error. First time using this forum so does take some getting used to!

Multiple PM’s, you was the only one person I had privately messaged!

I messaged on the 2 recent active conversation about my queries.

But thanks for the advice re my query!
