Hi all,
I have a lot of CDs I'd like to rip to mp3 and am looking for a recommendation for a good easy to use program to do that.
I did download EAC (Exact Audio Copy) but I'm not finding it that easy to use and I'm about to give up as for the second time since I started (only 8 CDs copied so far) it's not recognising any CDs I put in. The first time that happend restarting the program fixed it but that hasn't worked this time.
Can anyone recommend another program I could use please?
Thanks in advance.

Do you have iTunes installed?0

I am doing that just now. Using Windows Media Player on Windows 10. You can set the ripping format (I am ripping all to highest quality FLAC, but other formats inc. mp3 available) and tell it where to save them to, and it does it. You can set it to eject the disc when finished too, and start ripping when a new CD is inserted. So, dead easy once set up:
Step 1: Put CD in
Step 2: Take CD out

I use the free version of FreeRip to rip CDs to FLAC, a lossless format.
It also rips to mp3 and other formats.
It is very easy to use.

- Open the Start Menu and from All Programs select Windows Media Player.
- Once the software has opened, insert a CD into your disk drive. ...
- From the Rip settings menu at the top of the windows, Select Format and then select MP3 to ensure your album is ripped to this format.

Thanks very much everyone. For some reason I thought Windows Media Player only ripped to .wma. Maybe that was the case when I last used it many years ago. So I'll give that a try instead and check out Free Rip if I have any issues.0

If you can't get on with EAC, try Media Monkey.
That said, I'd stick with EAC; there's plenty of guides on YouTube.0
