Using the example of an amusement park which didn't check the rides regularly and told its workers to climb up the sides of the rollercoaster to do maintenance would have been a better analogy. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Not really. Amusement parks are a very different industry.
With respect, you don't know the situation. So you aren't really in a position to tell me which analogy would suit.
But really. It doesn't matter. I posted here for advice. I received answers to some of my questions which has been wonderful.
You clearly are here to troll me as you are yet to say anything constructive.0 -
Can someone remind me why sangie stopped posting on the employment board...0

If I remember correctly his or her posting permission was revoked by MSE because of one or two post which were subject to complaints.
He / she felt that his / her comments were justified but that the forum team take no account of the rights or wrongs when dealing with such matters. I think s/he took his / her "services" elsewhere.0 -

Yes, she was PPR'd after offering her no nonsense advice to people who were blundering their way to failure at Employment Tribunals. Usually their sense of injustice or self belief prevented them from an objective assessment of their case.
Someone with a grudge kept creating ever more elaborate scenarios before turning on MSErs accusing them of trolling their threads.
The PPR is now lifted but sangie has chosen to take her experience to a website that does't allow racists to rant.Originally Posted by shortcrust

I have far better things in life to do than troll newbie posters. I have also made constructive suggestions which may not have been what you wanted to hear.
Like other posters I am concerned that your former employer has been operating using unsafe practices and if still doing so should be stopped. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

Where? The redundancy forum has closed - I just wondered if it's possible to read her anywhere else (I'm always up for learning new stuff!)Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

So. They just sent me a new offer. £15,000. A massive leap from £2000 and this is following me calling them out for giving false information to the tribunal.
Do employers tend to show their hand by raising by so much so early?0 -
At the risk of repeating myself, maybe they can't be a**** to pay solicitors and barristers and have people away from work. 15k may be worth it to them to get rid of you.
On the other hand maybe they think you are going to get oodles of money so this is saving them.
Employers much like employees tend to have personalities that vary, so it could be either.0
