This is the same company who posted (without permission from MSE so it has now been deleted) about how they have global fulfilment centres with teams of staff available to work on your order and who promised they weren't scammers and that everyone would get what was promised with bells on.

Of course, they only posted that after MSE regulars pointed out their connections to other companies that have been known to scam in the same way.

I think perhaps a guide on buying from online retailers may be useful for people. For example what to check for - well written T&C's, no bad english/poor spelling, not just that they have a registered UK address but also that its valid/the property fits with any claims they make about their business etc. Of course none of these are conclusive on their own, but when taken together, can give a good indication as to how genuine a retailer are.

If you look at the thread we had on them recently (in consumer rights board), you'll see they're linked to other companies at the same address who have also featured on previous MSE threads as scammers. Seems to be a rule rather than an exception.

They dont know their registered address either. The flat upstair (belonging to an accountant) was 40a, the shop downstairs was 40b and called advance technologies. The person who posted on behalf of savvibuy indicated they were working from that shop (40b tweedale st).

Who does the vat number belong to? I'd be tempted to report that to HMRC....the police may be uninterested in scams such as this but HMRC tend to be like a dog with a bone when it comes to possible tax fraud.

If you put their vat number into the vat checker it comes up as not valid
Looks like a tatty computer shop if you look at the address on streetview
Also selling on amazon as atfx systems .
I seem to remember it's supposed to be a requirement of amazon that their address is listed-but yet again amazon fails to enforce this.

Facebook says they were established 2002 - what a joke. Not even ADVANCE.TEC.CO.UK LTD was established then.
