Long life socks required

I am in need of replacing my socks, but I need them to last a long time.
My current socks have lasted me somewhere between 7 and 9 years, but are now getting quite thin.
I don't want to go out to Matalan, Tesco etc, find some packs of socks thinking they'll be fine, but after a few weeks they look like the dog has had a field day with them.
I need them to last far longer than my trainers, which I end up replacing every 4 to 6 months.
Does anyone have any suggestions??

Where did you buy the last ones from?
Socks do wear, that's part of it. Friction against the material will cause wear. that's down to you.0 -

They do expect them to last a long time, they offer a subscription service because people that want socks of this type, like to change the variety and they offer a decent variety or they want to ensure a constant supply - some people like to wear good quality socks once or twice, it doesn't mean they have little longevity. This particular company offers a subscription service (from memory) for all their items, I have one for their shirts and I wouldn't be without it.
Not for you, that's fine. But, don't assume something is short lived or low quality because you can subscribe.

I know that socks wear out over time. Some quicker than others through the same amount and type of use.
I got my current long lasting socks from Matalan something like 7 to 9 years ago.0 -

HJ Hall Indestructable socks, I have been wearing them for years without complaint.
Not the most stylish on the market but they do what it says on the label0 -

so confident about them being "indestructable" that they are only willing to give a 12 month guaranteeThey offer a subscription service of three new pairs every 4 months , so even they dont expect their socks to last very long !
You clearly don't buy long life socks, but tell me, why do you assume there isn't such a thing?0 -
