Donating toiletries

My local homeless charity is happy to take open toiletries. You could also look at Give and Makeup0

At my workplace there was a collection of toiletries for Barnardos - the person organising it said they are given to children who don't have any and otherwise might get bullied at school for being "dirty".
I think they only accepted unused ones though.
This left me feeling very depressed. What the hell kind of a country do we live in where we are relying on donations to keep kids clean? But that's a discussion for another thread I suppose.0 -
Our local 'churches together group ' who run the food bank welcome unused toiletries.
They especially welcome the 'hotel items' as they give £1 to homeless folk to go to the leisure centre where they get a hot shower and these small bottles just fill the bill.
Some charity shops will accept toiletries too- some specialise in 'vintage' so even old bottles of perfume are accepted.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
