No claims Bonus and my policy

Hi all, I hope you all had a merry Christmas,
I have been looking for quotes on my insurance policy and have noticed that the premiums seemed to have increased from last year.
I have a claim currently being processed, someone drove into the back of me and I put a claim through a third party specialist, not my insurers. My question is does this effect my no claims policy now?
Or is it my no claims only gets affected when someone makes a claim on my insurance?
Many thanks in advance....

If you are claiming from your policy or its not yet decided who was at fault then your no claims may have been reduced.
If it settles in your favour then it will be increased again. The issue going elsewhere is adds complication.
How many years no claims 10 well 3 but im waiting for a non fault accident to clear. How many can you prove though just 3....
Then when you get your no claims reinstated the company your with want an admin fee to change the figure and knock nothing off the premium because ot was not teh right company to use with 10 years no claims....Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Any claim usually affects the premium you pay, irrespective of blame.
It is your claims history changing that is likely causing this increase. (You have a new claim on your history, thus changing your profile from last year)
(Assuming you had no other claims during the year, then your "no claim bonus" should not be affected by this claim (assuming you are totally blameless, and the third party insurer has agreed this with your "third party specialist" accident management company)0
