Fuse keeps blowing

Hi all
Wonder if anyone can help on this one. I had a hot tub installed (hard wired) in my garden last week and it worked fine until yesterday. I have been watering in my garden but it should be fine as it's all securely fixed into a junction box. However it keeps now blowing fuses and I have no idea why.
Anyone got any clues?

Get the installers back strait away and do not use it.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Not an electrician but the daughter of one - I think you've hit on the problem with the watering and if you've got even a small amount of damp around the electrics you might have a thing called earth leakage trippage (????). You need to ensure they are kept dry.
Could be completely wrong but, gosh, can't wait to see if others think I'm right and making my Dad proud of me!0 -
Firstly I would hope that it is an RCD & not a fuse.
Second,Where is the joint box. it should not be positioned where is likely to be exposed to rain or moisture & even then it should be IP rated to withstand water.
I have my doubts if it has been installed properly & not sure if getting them back is a great idea.0 -

I hope you are right about the RCD!
You should have a cerfiticate for the installation as well- I think0 -
I assume the cable supplying the hot tub isn't an ordinary piece of 3-core lying next to the garden fence with scotch tape adjoining different pieces of flex
If there is any doubt as to the quality of work or credentials of the previous installers I would personally get a different certified spark to independently check the wiring - there is no room for error and no excuse with installations like this
It could of course be a faulty element / motor or similar if it is the fuse that keeps blowing and not a tripping rcd but it is not worth taking a chance on this one!0 -
No as I said it's been hard wired in using a armoured flex(?) cable strengthened with metal, buried under ground. The junction box is above ground but has a drainage hole and looks pretty secure enough to withstand daily rain.0

assuming the installation work has been done to spec, then the motor/pump assembly is the most likely suspect.
is there a switch on the hot tub itself?Get some gorm.0
