What does Unsuccessful sync mean in my email recent activity page?

Hello all

I checked on the "recent activity page" on my emails and I noticed that 4 times over the past 3 weeks on various times and dates and from various countries around the world there were attempts to get into my email address, however they were Unsuccessful. I sometimes get ones where it says incorrect password entered from some random place around the world and I have made my emails as secure as possible. But I just noticed a different one, one which says "Automatic Sync" and then lists under that 4 attempts to I presume log into my emails from 4 separate times and different countries next to each of them it says "Type: Unsuccessful sync" and "ProtocolIMAP" What does this mean does anyone know? Is it something more sinister than just a "wrong Password" entered random attempt from somewhere around the world?
