Haha...yes, we have all been making the most of the free ice cream in our house too. If there is a guaranteed way of getting someone into the Mse way this is surely it!!0

Thank you :T :T Ds and I have just been to Sainsburys and got a pizza for tonight and some Ben and Jerrys - it's becoming a friday night habit
Tonight is very much a chill out night, tomorrow we're going out for a family lunch for Mums birthday, not much else planned this weekend. Monday is an inset day so hopefully a fairly easy dayMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Morning all, a nice surprise this morning - I submitted my meter reading a few days ago and I had an email to say I have been paying too much, they are reducing my direct debit by £2 per month and sending me a refund for £66  I have decided its going to go towards Octobers money for my brothers fund, I should get some more from quidco in October too so that should mean it's covered and then I can make some more headway with the holiday fund.
I've moved various bits and pieces to their right places online and it appears I have £24 left to last me the day, anything left tonight will get chucked in the holiday fund too
I only have one more birthday present to sort for 2017, then it's full steam ahead with Christmas shopping.
Today we have a nice family lunch planned, my brother and family are coming down and we're going to a lovely local place for lunch which I'm really looking forward to.
In more mundane news, the washing machine and dishwasher are both up bright and early this morning doing their stuff, the house has been tidied, I need to start on a good clean once I've had ten minutes on here with a coffeeMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

I've updated my signature a bit too ... the cost of the holiday is £1400 but I've added in all the extra costs - new passports, insurance, spends etc and that's why it's now a higher figure.
Likewise, my brothers loan is £30k but I've changed the target to £25k as once I reach there I will also add in my £5k savings to reach the goalMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Beds are made, bathroom and downstairs loo cleaned, everywhere dusted and hoovered / floors swept. Rubbish has gone out, empty shopping bags rehomed back in the car, my nieces birthday present wrapped ready to hand over today, dishwasher emptied, coffee drank
, ds paper-round money moved into his account, windows open in every room and fresh air is in
I have also signed up to an MOT reminder from the mse newsletter - I never know when it's due but this way I get an email a month in advance
I've cleared the surveys from my inbox, might have a mooch on here for a while now and see if I can make a few pennies anywhereMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

So we got one point today, not great but better than none.
We had a lovely lunch out with the family, we got a couple of pictures of us all together too which is unusual, so I will get them printed out and frame them as I don't have any recent photos in the house yet. Mum treated us all to lunch, very much appreciated.
So now I'm relaxing, the house is clean and tidy, it's starting to drizzle and I'm setting up camp on the sofa with the laptop for a bit then it's Strictly time
I think it's fairly safe to say I won't be going out again today, and am not planning on buying anything online, so I think it's safe to say the £24 can be moved across to the holiday fundMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

Morning, I'm no good at lie-ins
Never mind, a quiet early morning in the conservatory will do me instead, hopefully ds will stay asleep for a while, Sundays are his only day he doesn't have to be up early.
£18 interest paid on my isa account from last year - the account is empty as I needed it for when I moved house but yesterday was the interest day, so that will be added to my brothers fund.
Today is meant to be a wet day although it's okay at the moment. I need to go food shopping, I haven't got into the cycle of mid-week deliveries yet. I might just get a few bits and pieces and then do an order for midweek and try and train myself that way.
Other than that it's the usual ironing excitement to look forward toMortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000

So it's a new month, and there aren't that many left this year. The aims for this month are:
- Stick to budget (half-term needs planning)
- Get on track with food shopping
- Earn a £5 Amazon voucher every week
- Make £100 for the holiday fund
My brothers fund is well on its way this month already, thanks to the rebate from the gas/electric account and the interest added this morning. It now only needs another £66 and I already know I *should* get £110 from quidco this week. This would mean my brothers fund is sorted for October and would give me £44 towards the holiday fund, meaning I need to earn another £56 from somewhere this month to meet that goal.
The Swagbucks target is inspired by Betterthanever - I dabble in Swagbucks occasionally but this month I want to earn £5 a week - if I can meet my daily targets on there this will earn me bonus points too, today I have already earned 353 points, so well on my way for the first £5 (700 points needed, ie. 100 points a day).
Half-term is at the end of the month, I already have a few bits planned and I need to make sure they are budgeted for.Mortgage Total: £50,720/ £75,000
