Have you ever sold a house, then re-bought it later in life?

No, and there's no reason that I ever would unless I win Euromillions and feel sentimental.0

No, but I had the opportunity to buy two of my former childhood homes.
I passed on both of them, because I knew their failings, and these were not things which could be altered.0 -
Of my 3 childhood homes, one is now offices, the other two have been considerably altered and improved, but one has lost most of its garden and off road parking and the other has lost most of the view from the back bedroom, so not that interested.
Wouldn't want to buy back any of my previous adult homes. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I wouldn't buy either of my childhood homes but I could happily buy back either of the last two houses I have owned. You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0

I wouldn't want to buy back my only childhood home as I was never particularly keen on it and don't have sentimental feelings towards it, but would buy back the house we sold in 2007 in a heartbeat.......sadly we could no longer afford it
DH would also love to buy back the house we sold two years ago, but whilst the area it was in (an AONB) was beautiful, I wasn't as keen on the house itself (thatched) or the village it was in.......Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
Over £40,000 mis-sold PPI reclaimed0 -
I absolutely would buy my childhood home, if I won the money to do it, for totally sentimental reasons.0

I think it's a nice idea. But I find over the years the places I lived 20-30 years ago are not what they once were. Nice roads are now not so nice. Even fields nearby are no longer fields!
However I would leap at the chance to view any of the houses. I narrowly missed the chance to view my main childhood home, where I lived from 8-18, as it had just gone under offer when I started looking ... Was even the right budget! Annoying! They've since re-done the loft conversion my dad put in, and now the roof is sagging really badly so I certainly wouldn't want to buy that one back!!0 -
I miss the house I sold just over two years ago, and feel like someone has ripped out my heart when I think about the day I left it.
Would I buy it again? Not a freaking chance. I renovated it, and I have memorised all the annoying issues that still needed dealing with. I'd buy it again if I somehow managed to get it hugely discounted, but that's a dream and this is reality. Sigh.0 -
