You said when you turn it on, it just has a blue light and a blank screen, but does it actually boot into Windows i.e. can you hear the HDD loading and the Windows startup sound.
Yes, all the above you mentioned works, just black screen

I have a few rams spare from old Acer's, just tried one in it, turned on, works great now :j

I hope you had a 2GB RAM module to put in. Fitting an SSD made the world of difference to my AAO ZG5. Though bought the 120GB SSD when they were still £25.
Now I can actually use the thing. Using it now.0
